ACTIV8 Wasatch Introduction to Biathlon Fall 2023

The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a four-week introduction to biathlon program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program.

Dates: Monday, October 2, 9, 30, and November 6 from 1:30-3:30pm

The Soldier Hollow biathlon experience provides a taste of biathlon competition on the 2002 Olympic Biathlon Range in Midway, Utah. During the 4-week session, participants will learn firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship using German air-rifles. The second half of the course will introduce shooting with a heart rate and will culminate with a fun mini competition.

You must fill out this Soldier Hollow waiver BEFORE the first day of the program. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. This program will happen rain or shine, and there will be no refunds for bad weather.

Transportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Jordanelle.

Bus Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone to meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Soldier Hollow. NEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50,000 annually, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch but earn less than $120,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. The information you choose to share with us is confidential and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility for a partial scholarship. You may be asked to provide documentation (i.e., paystubs, tax forms, or W-2s) to confirm your income and/or other financial information.
